【摘要】:Inthedesignandoperationofreverseosmosisinstallations,itisimportanttopredicttheSiO2scalingpropertiesoftheconcentratestream.BecauseoftheincreaseintheconcentrationofSiO2andthechangeinpH,thescalingpropertyoftheconcentratestreamwillbequitedifferentfromthatofthefeedsolution.Thispracticepermitsthecalculationofthescalingpotentialfortheconcentratestreamfromthefeedwateranalysisandthereverseosmosisoperatingparameters.ScalingbySiO2willadverselyaffectthereverseosmosisperformance.Thispracticegivesvariousproceduresforthepreventionofscaling.Thepresenceofcertainmetals,forexample,Al+3,maysignificantlyalterthesolubilityofSiO2viaformationofinsolublemetalsilicates.Thispracticedoesnotaddressthisphenomena.1.1Thispracticecoversthecalculationandadjustmentofsilica(SiO2)fortheconcentratestreamofareverseosmosissystem.Thecalculationsareusedtodeterminetheneedforscalecontrolintheoperationanddesignofreverseosmosisinstallations.Thispracticeisapplicableforalltypesofreverseosmosisdevices(tubular,spiralwound,andhollowfiber).1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletobothbrackishwatersandseawaters.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
