【摘要】:Freeandbondedglycerincontentreflectsthequalityofbiodiesel.Ahighcontentoffreeglycerinmaycauseproblemsduringstorage,orinthefuelsystem,duetoseparationoftheglycerin.Ahightotalglycerincontentcanleadtoinjectorfoulingandmayalsocontributetotheformationofdepositsatinjectionnozzles,pistons,andvalves.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationoftotalmonoglyceride,totaldiglyceride,totaltriglyceride,andfreeandtotalglycerininB-100methylestersbygaschromatography.Therangeofquantitationformonoglycerideis0.100to1.000mass%,fordiglycerideis0.050to0.500mass%,andfortriglycerideis0.050to0.500mass%.Therangeofquantitationforfreeglycerinis0.005to0.05mass%andfortotalglycerinfrom0.05to0.5mass%.Thisprocedureisnotapplicabletovegetableoilmethylestersobtainedfromlauricoils,suchascoconutoilandpalmkerneloil.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
